The Wilusz Family: February 2014

I can't believe how fast Ethan is growing up! It seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital;) I have been slacking on my Ethan monthly posts. I have been to busy being a mommy and teacher. Plus now I am adding student to the mix to renew my license:) Also trading illnesses with my kiddos has put me short on time.

Anyway, Ethan is growing strong. At his 9 month appointment he weighed almost 22 pounds and was 26 1/2 inches long. At one point, Ethan was surpassing Henry in height and weight, but now he is slowing down on the growth charts. He is wearing 12 month clothing and is now just getting into 18 month clothing, though it is a little long for him.

Currently, Ethan loves to eat:! He will eat all of the yummy baby food I make for him, but then he wants to eat everything I am eating too;) I am also still breastfeeding E, but he also has a formula/breast milk mix at daycare. It is really weird making it this far breast feeding. Not sure how weaning is going to go or when I will do it. I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Ethan also loves to crawl and pull himself up on things. Crawling is a new experience for us because Henry never crawled. Last night, Henry and daddy went down the hall so Henry could take a bath and Ethan was down the hall lick-ity-split after them. It seems he wanted to join in the fun! Ethan picks up small things great now. I was worried that he hadn't been doing that by his 9 month appointment, but the doc said he would do it soon. Sure enough he started doing it the very next day:)

Ethan has two bottom teeth and his top two teeth are in the process of coming in. Ethan is a pretty good teether and doesn't get to cranky. E sleeps okay. He sleeps through the night most nights now, but sometimes he wakes up. Naps are a different story. He is not a great napper. Some days I get great naps out of him and then some days are horrible. Hopefully things will get better, he didn't get the great napping gene Henry got;) I still love him anyway!

I positively can't believe his 1st birthday is 2 months away! I miss my baby already and already have the itch for another one:)
