The Holidays: Halloween & Christmas

The holidays were low key this year because mommy was pregnant.  Mommy barely made the trek around the loop of the Zoo Boo at the end of October.  For Halloween, Henry was conductor in Thomas the Train and Ethan was Humpty Dumpty.  Many people loved Henry's costume, though I will never make another cardboard train again.  Henry keeps telling me he wants to be Diesel 10 next year.  I guess he better find another train maker;)  Lots of people thought E was cute, though many people didn't know what he was.  Someone said he looked like the State Puff Marshmallow Man. Then on Halloween night everyone thought Ethan was a little girl.  Unfortunately, we went with it because not one person thought he was a boy.  Thank you to grandma Wilusz sewing their costumes this year.

Visiting Henry Ford

Lenora is 1 month!

I can't believe my baby girl is 1 month old! The time is just zooming by.  It really needs to slow down.  Lenora was a champ at her 1 month well visit. She weighed 9 pounds and 8 ounces. She grew to 21 & 1/2 inches. Her head was 15 & 1/2 inches.  Her head was in the 90% tile, which I thought was crazy because she is so small compared to her brothers at that age.

Lenora is becoming more alert each day, though she likes to sleep a lot.  She mostly sleeps during the day.  At night she wakes every 3 to 4 hours to eat, which is better than every two.  Lenora was a champ at breastfeeding from the start and has a pretty good latch.  I wish she would flange her upper lip better, but all in all it's not bad and she doesn't make me sore unless she is cluster feeding. Right now she sleeps in her rock and play and her swing.  This week I will start transitioning her to her crib.  I have two weeks until I have to be back at work and I have some serious mommy guilt.  She won't even be two months old and I have to ship her off to daycare.  I am so sad!  I will probably cry a lot that week;(

What Lenora has been up to her first month of life:  Smiling, making eye contact, playing on her jungle gym, taking baths, posing for pictures, visiting Santa, going to the zoo, going to the Henry Ford Museum, swing in her swing, breastfeeding, wearing cloth diapers, and meeting family and friends.
