Ethan is 6 months!

Our little man is 6 months old and the joy of our lives! He turned 6 months on the 12th and went for his well visit on the 18th. He weighed in at 19 pounds and 7 ounces and he was 27 and 1/4 inches. He got five shots during his visit and was a trooper for sure! Currently, Ethan has started solids. At first he despised food, but now he loves it. He has tried oatmeal, yogurt, apples, bananas, avocado, carrots and broccoli.  He is not really into carrots, broccoli, or oatmeal, but he loves his yogurt, apples, bananas and avocado! Soon he will be trying green beans, squash, and sweet potatoes. All of E's food is freshly made by me:)  I just got a new baby food maker and I love it. It helps make my life easier;) I am also still breast feeding E. I feel very fortunate to do so and am trying to do it as long as I possibly can. We shall see if I can hang on....

Ethan is sitting up on his own now. He is still unsteady at times so I put the Boppy behind him to catch him if he falls. He is also showing sighs of wanting to crawl, so we shall see if he becomes a crawler before he walks unlike his big brother Henry. E loves to babble away. He no longer likes his swing, but enjoys his bouncer.  E has no teeth and hasn't been the best sleeper lately. I am thinking that maybe he is going through a growth spurt or teeth are coming....we shall see.

Ethan got his first cold this month:( He had a slight temp and now has a cough. Hoping the cough goes away soon. E is really enjoying daycare these days. He gets to paint, sing, and practice large and fine motor skills:) Can't wait to see what the coming months will bring:)

Little E at 4 and 5 months...

Where is the time going? My little weed is growing, growing, growing! He has so much personality, I just love him:) I haven't updated my blog in awhile because the site keeps changing on me and I have to re figure everything out:( Any who, E weighed 17 pounds 6 ounces and was 26 and half inches long at his 4 month appointment. He was a trooper...especially when he was getting his shots:)

Currently, Ethan is really into his hands these days and is starting to look at his feet. He is starting to sit up unassisted too and is starting to inch forward on his belly a little. E doesn't have any teeth yet, but I am sure they are not far off because he really enjoys stuffing both of his hands in his mouth and chewing on them! I can't say I am wishing for them though because I am still breastfeeding him and am not looking forward to the day he bites me;) I never went through this with Henry because I pumped and gave Henry a bottle when I went back to work. I also lost my milk supply early on due to sickness:( So we shall see what happens....

Ethan is not as good of a sleeper as Henry, but he sleeps well. He sleeps from 8:30 to 5 most nights, with random 11:30 or 3:30 feedings. So it is not so bad. E has done a great job adjusting to daycare after being home with mommy for 5 months. He takes his bottles with ease and is working on sleeping in a crib well during the day. His 6 month appointment will be coming up soon. We will soon see how big my chunker has grown. We will  also be embarking on the new adventures of trying solid foods!
