Introducing Our Newest Bundle of Joy...Ethan Jack Paul
Ethan Jack Paul was born on April 12, 2013 at 3:59 pm at Beaumont Hospital in RO. He weighed 8lb. 14 oz. and was 21 inches long. Ethan was a scheduled c-section, since I ended up having a c-section with my first born son Henry. Originally, I was scheduled to have my c-section on the 16th of April because they couldn't get me in on the 12th. Low and behold, they ended up calling me the Wednesday before the 12th to let me know I had been moved up. I was so excited because I did not want to go into labor before my c-section, since the original section date was closer to my real due date of April 19th.
My c-section went great. Michael and I decided on Ethan because we liked the name, Jack after Mike's grandfather and Paul after Mike's father, my grandfather, and my brother. While in the hospital, Ethan had many visitors: all of his grandparents, my brothers, many of the Matthews, and some of our friends. The hospital was more relaxing this time and we could enjoy having Ethan. Ethan lost weight, but not as much as Henry did so the stay was less stressful on us until we went home. We had to go back to the pediatrician
every 4 days until Ethan gained his birth weight back. It took Ethan three weeks to gain it all back.
Ethan has been a dream since we brought him home. He is very laid back, which makes it easy to deal with him and a 20 month old toddler:) Henry has been very good with his little brother. He always wants to talk and play with him. He gives him lots of kisses and wants to hold him. Henry also is always pointing out Ethan's body parts (and sometime wants to poke them to hard:). Additionally, Henry is very helpful with Ethan. He will help me feed him bottles of breast milk, put the bottles in the sink, bring me cloth diapers, etc. He is the best big brother ever! I can't wait for the day they will have fun playing together:)
I am so glad that being a mother of two has been so easy (so far...) after such a trying pregnancy. I own that in part to my wonderful husband who is so helpful to me:) I can always count on him to give the boys a bath at the end of each day and to wash the dirty diapers, among other things. I plan to enjoy the next 4 months with my boys and beyond:)

Easter 2013
Henry had a wonderful Easter this year. This will be his last solo holiday. Soon he will have a bouncing baby brother. This year Henry got Easter pics at Trinity Photography, went on his first Easter Egg hunt at Clawson Park, his first Marshmallow Drop at Catalpa Oaks, colored eggs with Grandma Matthews, and hunted for Easter eggs that Aunt Jill hid for me. Then today, he got lots of goodies from the Easter Bunny, his Grandparents, and had great food:) He even got to see some of his Wilusz cousins, aunts, uncles, and great grandma when we stopped for a quick visit as we drove to Grandmas for dinner:)

Making Progress on the room...
We are finally getting Baby Boy Willy's room underway. Last month, I started cleaning it out, the room was my office/multipurpose room. But this week we really got down to business. I put up the curtains and put together the toy/book cubbies. Then we put together the crib and I washed and put on the bedding. Next on the "to do" list is put together the changing table/dresser, move my desk into our room, put Mike's cabinet in the basement, paint the closet and patch and paint the walls ( so glad my lovely father-in-law volunteered to do it:) ), and then decorate. I truly can't wait to see my new little one!

Getting Ready for Baby Boy Wilusz #2
We are so excited to be welcoming our second little boy into our family come early April! The other day, I was out shopping and came across the perfect outfit to bring our new little one home from the hospital in! I thought it would be fitting since he will coming into the world at the start of the baseball season:) I can't wait to see it on him:) Baby Willy's room is starting to come together. We have a crib, cubbies, and changer/dresser and bedding on order. All we need to do is finish clearing the room, patch and paint walls, and put everything together. The theme of the nursery will be whales. I simply can't wait until it all comes together:)
Henry's First Hair Cut:)
Henry's first hair cut went as well as could be expected (1/20/13). At first he would not get into the fire truck chair, but anything can be accomplished if you give a kid a sucker:) So we gave Henry a sucker and he decided to sit in the chair. When the clippers came out, Henry wanted to jump out of the chair again, but we managed to get him to stay. As the cut went on, Henry became more relaxed and let the stylist finish. All in all it was a good experience:)
